Hey LC Warrior Radio browsers, my name is Katie Sanchez and I am a returning LC State DJ. I had so much fun co-hosting my last show with Taylor that I had to come back for a second semester, but this time I am flying solo. Being born and raised in Southern California, I always had a special appreciation for music, but my place of origin was not the catalyst that caused my music obsession. My Mexican-American papá is what started it all. Growing up he played me every genre you can imagine. From Hip Hop to Alternative Rock to Latin to Jazz, I became well versed in the art of music. I grew to love all genres of music and mistrust people who were genre challenged. I’ll admit that the mistrust of those who only listen to one genre of music is still a very real feeling of mine, which is why I look forward to sharing some new music with all of you!
